It is difficult to find a family-hauler for a reasonable price tag that will not destroy your wallet at the pump. That is the reason we our shinning our used car spotlight on the 2012 GMC Terrain.
Before we get to the Terrain’s impressive powertrain, GMC did make some exciting enhancements to the Terrain for 2012. A touchscreen audio interface will be standard on every pre-owned 2012 Terrain you encounter, and when that is paired with Bluetooth audio streaming, drivers can listen to Pandora and even access their own playlist without a cable.
Now on to the star of the show; the 2012 GMC Terrain’s impressive 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The sporty four-cylinder pumps out 182 horsepower and 172 lb.-ft. of torque, but what separates the Terrain from other SUVs is the 22 mpg city and unheard of 32 mpg highway.
Drivers have the ability to opt for the Terrain’s more powerful 3.0-liter V6, which generates 264 horsepower and 222 lb.-ft. of torque. The V6 returns 25 mpg highway, so it won’t kill you at the pump either, but four-cylinder will save you money on the price tag and gas.
