Toyota Miami has started an “Exit the Highway” program in partnership with the National Audubon Society. The program was created with the intention of getting drivers back in touch with the nature surrounding them.
“At Toyota, it is not just about fuel efficient cars,” said Angela Serrano, Internet Director at Toyota of Hollywood. “It’s also about inspiring people to join the conservation movement.”
Drivers who take the pledge to Exit the Highway can be entered for the chance to win a 2013 Toyota Prius v, with extra entries possible when drivers share their photos, stories, and nature destinations. Drivers can recommend nature spots as well to get additional chances to win.
Starting in 2008, the Audubon Society and Toyota created the Toyota TogetherGreen program, which encourages the growth of environmental leadership and investment in conservation. Exit the Highway is just the latest program as part of the TogetherGreen initiative.
Whether you are cruising in a sensible sedan like the 1999 Sienna or a rugged Toyota like the 2011 RAV4 this summer, be sure to take the scenic route and take in the view.
