A common trend among automakers is to release their 2014 models well before the year actually begins. You can go to just about any new car lot and find a well-stocked inventory of 2014 models, and we are only about halfway into 2013. As a result, 2013 models are beginning to turn up at used car dealers nationwide, and this relatively new practice among automakers is benefiting the used car shopper.
Ford is particularly guilty of pushing out 2014 model year cars well before the year actually starts, and it gives shoppers the opportunity to drive a used 2013 model before the year ends. One such vehicle is the 2013 Ford Edge. Ford offers three available powertains to power the sporty SUV, including a powerful V6 and an EcoBoost option that combines performance and fuel efficiency.
The 2013 Edge also comes equipped with SYNC with MyFord Touch. The innovative technology connects a driver to all of the entertainment on their smartphone through a touch screen and voice commands.
In addition to the Edge, other pre-owned 2013 Ford models are becoming available across the country, including the 2013 F-Series and Escape. What do you think of this new trend by manufacturers to introduce their models years before that year actually starts?
